about Lilith’s Haven
The first woman on earth seeks revenge. Dead girls scream for their stories to be told. Eloise desperately tries to uncover the truth. Welcome to Lilith’s Haven.
Debut author Reagan Ellis takes back the conversation surrounding violence against women by suspensefully weaving three narratives together.
First is a retelling from the perspective of the first woman on earth, Lilith, while she serves as a grim reaperess to women who have died at the hands of violence.
The second chronicles the sanctuary Lilith built, a haven for women's souls to heal. Specifically, following Eloise Kimura on her journey to regain her memories.
The final component is vignettes and snapshots of current house residents, focusing on their lives before the haven. Lives so diverse that every woman might find herself reflected back within the pages. Open what's now yours.
I wrote Lilith’s Haven with the sole purpose of raising awareness for gender based violence. If you didn’t know, violence against women is classified by The World Health Organization as a global public health pandemic, yet it's rarely spoken about. You can learn more about it on the World Health Organization's Website found here. If you or someone you know has been affected by the violence mentioned, know that you are loved and there are resources available. Find them here and here.
about the author
Hi, I’m Reagan! I’m a nineteen year old writer with big plans to attend Savannah College of Art and Design this fall in pursuit of my dreams to become a movie director. When I’m not reading or writing, you can probably find me at a concert, watching horror movies, or being an avid activist/ally for a multitude of marginalized communities. I have received multiple awards for my writing, including a Gold Key from the Scholastic Arts and Writing Awards for my upcoming book, Lilith’s Haven, as well as two Silver Key awards for my short horror story titled, The Beauty Shop and a poem titled a coffin or a cross. I’m very excited to be sharing my passion for writing with you all, and hope to make an impact on the world with my words.
